Poem Competition

I felt nervous before saying my poem to the class because I have been to a poem competition.

I felt proud after saying my poem to the class because I read it nicely.

I think I was awesome at reciting my poem because I said it clearly.

Art

My favourite step of doing this artwork was painting the leaves it was super fun but super messy I mixed a bit of colours then I dabbed it on to the branches it was a little easy and a little hard.

I love my artwork because I like the colours alot and also I like the black and the branches alot but I mostly like the leaves.

 

Persuasive Writing

 

We are learning to write a persuasive piece of writing to try convince the reader our opinion. I can come up with reasons why you  should buy the broken toy. It was tricky to come up with reasons because I couldn't really think about any ideas for my topic when I got to my first idea it was going easier but still hard.

 

Nga Tae

We are learning to communicate about physical characteristics in Te Reo Maori. I can identify some Maori colours. I enjoyed learning about Maori colours because I was excited to learn new colours and what animals have different colours I especially like kiwikiwi- silver tawa/porporo-purple kaura-gold.

Feelings Art

This term we have been learning all about emotions.  We watched the movie Inside Out. We did some artwork about feelings and the characters from the movie. I love my artwork because     
because it was fun. Sometimes I do art at home when I draw sometime I get frustrated but sometimes I don't maybe when I grow up I maybe be an artist and draw very cool stuff! Because I like blue.

Instruction Writing

I was learning to write instructions. I can write my instructions in the right order. I can use a variety of verbs in my instructions. I like my Monster Soup recipe because it's very weird and silly. I like it it was very fun to do and I hope we can do this next year I'm not really sure if we are going to do it again soon but I hope we do!

Would You Rather Questions

Check out these would you rather questions that we in Room 17 made up. I like this oral language activity because it is fun and you can pick a question and hold up your number 1 and 2. And also we can share why we picked the question.

Sea Week Art

I was learning to blend colours using paint. My favourite part of doing this art work was the white paint part. I love this artwork because it has jelly fish and some paint that looks like deep sea water.

Swimming

My favourite part of our swimming lesson is when we do a whirl pool. I find it tricky to go the other way in a whirl pool. I love swimming because you can swim with friends.

Welcome to my Year 3 learning blog. I am in Room 17.  My teacher is Miss Armiger.
